Ethical standards and procedures

Moc Media Publishing House is committed to upholding standards of ethical conduct at all stages of the publication process. We closely follow industry associations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), which set standards and provide best practice guidelines to meet these requirements.

AUTHORS’ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The author is required to prepare and submit the article in accordance with the requirements set out by the Editorial Board of the journal. In addition, the author is required to submit a completed statement to the Editor, which will include: a statement of the originality of the content of the article (work not yet published anywhere), the integrity of the copyrights of others, the absence or description of conflicts of interest, and permission to publish the article in the journal. Authors are responsible for disclosing any financial or personal relationships that may be perceived as bias in their work.

CRITERIA FOR AUTHORSHIP AND/OR WHO SHOULD BE LISTED AS A CONTRIBUTOR

Moc Media’s criteria for authorship and/or who should be listed as a contributor follows the standards recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Details of these criteria can be found in the COPE report publicationeticsics.org/files/2003pdf12_0.pdf .

REVIEWERS’ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Articles are selected for publication in a double-blind selection system and published in an open access system. The reviewer reviews using an electronic system based on questions prepared for the specific journal. The reviewer can also send individual comments for publication in the body of the article.

EDITORS’ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Editors are responsible for deciding which articles will be accepted for publication. Editors shall act in a balanced, objective and fair manner in the performance of their duties, without discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, ethnicity or geographical origin of the authors.
